“I believe that art is most successful when the viewers feel connected to the artist. As an artist, this can be accomplished by providing hints about yourself, your emotions, and your beliefs in your artwork. Therefore, for my project I have focused on the theme of representation. Representation and meaning within art can provide the onlookers with an insight into who the artist is. This is important to artists as they can sincerely express themselves and share with other people factors that make them unique. Artists that use representation accomplish this, as the viewers gain an understanding of who they are, whilst perhaps feeling inspired to make their own art.”
