Make the most of your visit to the Heseltine Gallery

Here’s how to find us:

During exhibition periods, the gallery is usually open Sunday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

It is closed on Saturdays and during the school holidays.

Please check exhibition dates on our What's On page before travelling.

I really appreciated having the time and space to really look and concentrate in this well lit gallery, a tranquil place. I’ll be back!

Public transport

Stagecoach bus service #500 operates between Brackley and Banbury, stopping at Middleton Cheney and some villages. Banbury is the nearest train station, just over 4 miles away or a 10-minute taxi ride. There are regular trains from London Marylebone, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Leamington Spa, Manchester, Oxford, Reading, Southampton, Stratford-on-Avon and Winchester. There’s even a service from Newcastle stopping at Durham, Darlington, York, Doncaster, Sheffield and Derby, so we’re well connected. Check out The Train Line for more information.

Parking

There are some visitors spaces available within the grounds of Chenderit School. If it is a particularly busy day, especially during school hours, you will find on-road parking close by.

Safeguarding

The gallery is within a school setting, so therefore all visitors have to report to the School Reception (during school hours), sign in and receive a lanyard before visiting the gallery. You will also need to sign out when leaving the gallery.

Facilities

The gallery is one level and there is disabled access and visitors’ toilets. We aim to make our exhibitions and events available for all interested parties.
