Hands. Face. Space. Find Your Place - Online Community Art Exhibition

Over 30 artists have come together at The Heseltine Gallery in Middleton Cheney for an online community art exhibition in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The exhibition, called Hands. Face. Space. Find Your Place, explores the theme of portraiture and self-expression and was inspired by the idea that art can help us to process difficult emotions and to reflect on the challenging experience of life during a global crisis.

“We have been thrilled by the art community’s response to our exhibition theme”

says Katie Boyce, Project Manager for The Heseltine Gallery.

“Over 30 artists - from students to hobbyists to professionals - have sent in a stunning range of portraits and self-portraits that reveal their feelings about family, friends, animal companions and mental health during the pandemic. They show us how COVID-19 has impacted our lives and how art can bring us both joy and comfort in difficult times”.

The exhibition will run exclusively online from 22 February to 10 April 2021 at www.theheseltinegallery.org.uk/hands-face-space. Artists can submit work to be added to the exhibition throughout the run. For further details, artists should visit The Heseltine Gallery website or contact katie@katieboyce.co.uk.
